| About Dean |
|
Dean has represented Great Britain in two strength sports
and represented Wales in four.
With fifteen years experience of competition
and working out, Dean has built up a wide
ranging CV.
As a senior competitor Dean’s biggest achievements have been a BPO British
title in power lifting.

A three time national finalist in IFSA Britain’s man competition,
and the first welsh man since Gary Taylor (worlds strongest man’93) to reach the British
final (which attracted over 9.5 million viewers).
A two-time finalist in UKSC UK’s strongest man competition (which was the heaviest
competition in the world) and reach Europe’s strongest man competition. Dean was also
selected for the ‘Planets Strongest man Competition is South Africa, which was sadly cancelled.
Dean is a fully certified sports therapist and personal trainer.
He is currently the Welsh representatives for the UKSC (United Kingdom strength council)
and along with Peak Physique Gym, he promotes and organises Wales’s strongest man competition,
which gives other welsh athletes the chance to compete on a national & international level.
Away from the strongman Dean has also collected a 4 nation Highland games championship, and
placed as high as 2nd at the British Iron grip Championships and brought
home a silver medal from the European grip championships in the ‘two-hand pinch
lift’ (which is still ranked in the top ten of all time).
Over the past few years, Dean has collected several Welsh power lifting records.
